Professional Overview
Marco trained as a psychotherapist and coach in London, having studied Law, International Relations, Finance and Marketing in Rio de Janeiro. Having 25 years experience as a working psychotherapist and coach, Marco has specialised in bereavement, stress management, depression, anxiety, HIV, leadership development, addiction and set up one of London's largest substance misuse counselling service. He has a proven track record in helping clients successfully address and resolve issues which seem beyond resolution.
Past Successes & Work History
As a psychotherapist and counsellor, Marco has worked with both individuals, couples and families employing cognitive behaviour therapy and other approaches. He maintains a comfortable yet professional relationship with his clients. Marco helps clients to understand their difficulties and get greater insight into their motivations and help you live a more fulfilling life. Depending on the nature of your issues, therapy could be short or long term.
Alongside his clinical work, Marco has worked as a Supervisor for other psychotherapists and counsellors, a visiting lecturer at The New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling. Marco has also been a manager at Turning Point, Addaction, Lifeline and currently at VIA (Psychosocial Therapy Manager).
As a coach, Marco has also worked at all levels of organisations, from CEO to junior executives, in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. His approach is based on asking exploratory questions to help executives understand and confront self-limiting beliefs and patterns and thus transform their leadership. Marco has developed a new executive model based on Leadership Vitality & Resilience to help executives achieve a better balance between work and personal life.
